2025 SESSION PRIORITIES
Utah is a state built on hope, resilience, and the promise of opportunity for all. As we grow and thrive, our mission is clear: to ensure that every Utahn—no matter where they live or who they are—has access to the basics that create a meaningful life. We envision a brighter future where every family feels secure, supported, and empowered to pursue their dreams.
As Utah experiences unprecedented growth and economic success, we must ask:
Who is Utah’s economic growth failing?
True prosperity should lift everyone, yet too many working families are grappling with food insecurity, unaffordable housing, inaccessible healthcare, underfunded schools, childcare shortages, inadequate public transportation, and deteriorating air quality. These struggles highlight the growing divide between those who benefit from economic progress and those who are excluded.
For years, the Utah Senate Democrats have stood as champions of your freedoms and advocates for equity. In 2025, we are reaffirming that commitment by going back to the basics. This legislative session, we’re focusing on the essentials—what every Utah family needs to live with dignity, security, and opportunity.
Grounded in the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, our caucus is fighting for a strong foundation that ensures every Utahn has access to the necessities of a good life.
